A Javanese Keris Madura, with 19th century blade.
The Keris with a hand forged ‘3 Luk’ waved Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Adeg’). Dapur in ‘Jangkung’ (Elephant trunk shape). Small brass cuff (Mendak), between hilt and blade. Keris hilt (‘Ukiran’) in ‘Pulasir’ Style and carved in Teak wood. The Warangka (sheath) and Gandar (body) both made from teak wood and patiently carved by hand with floral motives.
Total length of the blade, including the tang (pesi): 17.8 cm.
