A Javanese Keris Solo, with 19th century blade.

Asal (origin): Yogyakarta

The Keris with a straight hand forged Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (with fine pattern type: ‘Ganggeng Kanyut’). Dapur in fine ‘Tilam Upih’ shape. Silver-gilded Mendak (cuff) of ‘Kendit Seling Mera’ type, between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Yudo Winatan’ shape and carved from Tayuman wood. Warangka (sheath) of ‘Gayaman Kagok Bancihan’ type (‘kidney’ shaped). Warangka and Gandar Iris made from Pelet Wayang wood, patiently carved by hand.

Length of the blade, including ‘Pesi’ (tang of the blade): 42.5 cm. (1x)
