Description
Japan, Early Meiji period circa 1870/1880 Square shaped vases, with long slender neck and flaring mouth, decorated with various coloured enamels, each side of the body decorated with a panel with mons on a black ground alternating with a panel with flower spray on a gold flecked ground, the shoulder with two stylized dragons chasing the flaming pearl, the neck and rim decorated with lappets on a black ground.
