A West Javanese Keris Solo, with 19th century blade.

The Keris with a hand forged ‘11 Luk’ waved Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Tejo Kenurung’). Dapur in ‘Sempana’ shape. Small copper gilded Mendak (cuff) of ‘Meniran’ type, between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Jejeran Yudo Winatan’ shape, and carved from Cendana Jawa wood. Warangka (sheath) of ‘Ladrang Kuwung’ type (‘boat’ shaped) in Solo style and made from Cendana Jawa wood patiently carved by hand. Gandar (body) (body) with smooth black painted nickel Pendok (cover), Kemalon Coklat with Slorok and gilded ‘Lung Kanthet’ pattern.
