An East Javanese Keris.
Umur (age): Kamardikan.
Asal (=origin): Madura Aeng Tong-Tong.
The Keris with a hand forged ‘13 Luk’ waved Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Sanak’ raised with brass). Dapur in ‘Singa Barong’ shape. Gilded Mendak (cuff) of ‘Kendit’ type, fitted with the ‘Selut’, between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Jejeran Salembaran’ shape, and carved from Trembalo wood. Fine Warangka (sheath) of ‘Gayaman Kagok Bancihan’ type (‘kidney’ shaped) and made from Pelet Sembur wood patiently carved by hand. Gandar (body) (body) with silver plated Pendok (cover), silver plated Bunton decorated with ‘Lung Lungan’ pattern.
