An East Javanese Keris, with 19th century blade.

The Keris with a straight hand forged Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Kulit Semangka’). Dapur in ‘Sempana bener’ and ‘Elephant trunk shape’. Copper Mendak (cuff), between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Nunggak semi’ shape, and carved from Pelet Wayang wood. The fine Warangka (sheath) of ‘Gayaman Gabel’ type (‘kidney’ shaped). Warangka and Gandar also made from Pelet Wayang wood, patiently carved by hand.
