An East Javanese Keris.

Umur (age): Kamardikan.

Asal (=origin): Madura Aeng Tong-Tong.

The Keris with a hand forged ‘11 Luk’ waved Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Sanak’). Dapur in ‘Naga Putut’ (Dragon and sitting Monk shape). Gilded copper Mendak (cuff) of ‘Celebes-Pedongkok’ type, between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Jejeran Salembaran’ shape, and carved from Teak wood. Warangka (sheath) of ‘Gayaman Gandhon’ type (‘kidney’ shaped). Warangka and Gandar also made from Teak wood, patiently carved by hand.
