An East Javanese Kris, with 14th-15th century blade.

Asal (origin): Madura Tua (possibly Empu Koso).

The Keris with a hand forged ‘9 Luk’ waved Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Ri Wader’). Dapur in ‘Sempana’ (= Elephant trunk shape). Copper Mendak (cuff) of ‘Angkup Randu’ type, between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Donoriko Gaya Kembang’ (floral style) shape, and carved from Djati wood. Warangka (sheath) of ‘Daunan’ type (‘boat’ shaped) and made from Kemuning Werut wood patiently carved by hand. Gandar (body) (body) with smooth gilded Pendok (cover) of Yogyakarta type with ‘Semen Pari Sawuli’ pattern.

Length of the blade, including ‘Pesi’ (tang of the blade): 43.5 cm. (1x)
