An East Javanese Kris, with 18th century blade.

Asal (origin): Madura.

The Keris with a hand forged ‘11 Luk’ waved Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Adeg’). The ‘Naga’-body (dragon) with very fine ‘Uler Luluth’ and a gilded pearl in the mouth’. Dapur in ‘Naga Sasra Anom’ (dragon shape) in separate version. Small silver-gilded Mendak (cuff) of ‘Meniran’ type, between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Donoriko’ shape, and made from Buffalo horn. Warangka (sheath) in Madura style (‘boat’ shaped) and made from Buffalo horn. Gandar (body) with brown velvet and a silver plated Pendok (cover), Blewah Madura in Pakfong with slender pattern and brown velvet.

Length of the blade, including ‘Pesi’ (tang of the blade): 44 cm. (1x)
