An ivory tusk vase and cover, and a bronze and ivory plaque Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912), 19th century The bamboo shaped tusk vase carved in relief with bamboo and birds in mid-flight, the cover with a crane made from mother of pearl, red coral and amber, the ivory and bronze plaque is of oval form, the bronze if modelled in the shape of Daikoku, one of the Shichi-fuku-jin (Seven Gods of Luck). The vase signed on the body.
