Artist information:

‘Ben ‘ Viegers painted mainly flower still-lifes, flower fields, gardens, interiors, marines, harbors, beach views, landscapes, cityscapes and winter landscapes. He learned the art of painting and drawing from his grandfather, who was a Coach Builder. Later he visit the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. He also became a member of The Hague Art Society.  Ben Viegers was became friend with his teacher Charles Dankmeijer and took part in an exhibition in Antwerp. In 1910, his work could also be seen at an Art exhibition in Batavia (Dutch East Indies).  He lived in The Hage, Nunspeet, Castricum and Hilversum.
