Artist information:

Gerard Wiegman was an artist who lived and worked mainly in Rotterdam. He was a student of the Akademie van Beeldende Kunst there. Wiegman painted and drew ports and river views with ships in the style of Evert Moll. He also made street scenes and town views. Gerard Wiegman was a member of the Rotterdam Artists Society. He gave lessons to J.P. Baars and A.H. Eijmsbergen.
